Parking
Parking is plentiful at the Dance Street Ballroom.
The street parking on Dean allows for the easiest access and the
parking meters are very cheap, just .25 per hour. They must be
paid until 7pm Mon.-Sat., and the parking enforcement officers are,
shall we say, diligent, so bring your change! Stay out of the
loading zone before 6pm unless you have an official sticker.
As I said, diligent.
The Arena parking lot is also available.
During events the charge is $5, but otherwise it is often open with
no way to pay anyone. There are no numbers on the parking
spots and no box to take your money.
The small Diamond parking lot is convenient but be
sure you pay the right amount. During events it is $5, and at
all other times I think it is $1. They absolutely do check their box,
so don't try to cheat.
We also have our own dedicated lot behind the
building with access from Cataldo, one block south of Dean.
You're welcome to climb the open-grate back stairs in good weather
and without spiky heels, but otherwise you'll need to walk around to
the front door. This lot will hold about 30 cars and is always
free. We do ask that wedding guests only park from the
building BACK in order to leave the side of the building open for
the photographer. This is where many of our splendid picture
backdrops are to be found.
Caterers and other vendors should plan on unloading
at the front door. There's a ramp for handcarts and wheeled
coolers, and all of the food and beverages are staged near the front
of the building.
